I get the coffee mixture from a nearby store. I don't know what it means but they give me a mix of 2 types of coffee with 10% chicory. Is this a correct mixture?
I like strong coffee. So in the coffee maker I put 4 big spoons and pour 1 cup of water.
When the dicosion is ready, I mix the milk, dicosion and sugar and boil it for few seconds and drink. But this gives a smoky taste.
I have seen that my relatives boil only the milk and mix the dicosion and sugar after the milk is hot. But whenever I try it, since the dicosion is not hot, the whole coffee is not hot at all. It's just warm and my husband likes it hot. And the final mixture when I try this method also is not tasting good...
What am I doing wrong? How to get a perfect filter coffee?

I get this cotha's coffee, since u mentioned strong try following this way..Put 7-8 tsps(generous
) of powder and 1and 1/2 tumbler of boiling water( really boiling)wait for the dicotion to get ready, add real hot milk and dicotion together. Never heat up after the two are mixed(that was my mother's instruction for me) but i try warming it in the microwave!!!!

My mom used to prepare filter coffee. Very tasty... but now we dont have time to prepare we r using BRU :(:(... But I miss that taste.
Heat milk and mix it with diction. Dont boil it again.

proper proposition of coffee powder is 70% coffe and 30% chicory or u can try 75 and 25 also. actually chicory gives the strongess to coffee. try to get thick dicocsion. may be u can put 8 spoons of coffee powder and 2 cups of water. make milk hot separately and dicocsion hot separetly and mix. u should not boil the coffee after mixing dicocsion.

I get coffee powder from coffee day....u get different types...for strong u can ask them for medium strong coffee powder.
for a day for around 4 people I use 6 big spoons of coffee powder and around 2 cups of water....it comes out to be a strong dicocsion. Also once the dicocsion is fully on the lower vessel u can again put it back to the upper one..so that we get strong dic. (but this has to be done when dic is hot)
Also what ur relative do is really good..u should not heat the dic as in tea. U boil milk add sugar when u r abt to remove it from stove u add dic and heat it for 2 sec...and server.
If u heat coffee it will not taste good...
Try powder from coffee day...its really good...we are coffee freaks and we really like it.
