Hi

what is the food timing and quantity of food for one month baby. my friend recently delivered a boy baby. Her parents and inlaws are against becoz of her love marriage. she is alone. she dont know about feed, food, etc for her baby. any one pls suggest me some tips.

no food for a one month old baby deekshita... only moms milk... nothing else strictly... and timings is as per the baby demands... no matter how many no of times or at wat time.... it is as good as much as the baby demands.. just keep a check if the baby is sending out the waste properly......

sad to know tat she has noone to support her... hope atleast she is a housewife so tat she can fully concentrate on the baby...

As Smitha said, there is no limitations to the number of times the baby feeds. If she doesn't have enough milk, she can introduce formula. I used lactogen. The good interval of 2 hrs between every feed is advisable during day time and 4 hrs during night time! But it cannot be strictly followed.

Ask your friend not to worry. She could always ask us any doubts she has!

As smitha said , infants must be breastfed exclusively up to 6 mnths accg to doctors... or minimum up to 4-5 mnths..., & it is as much as baby demands at an interval of 2-3 hrs.she can check out the website 'www.babycenter.com'

My son of age 5 's urine is always surrounded by ants. Is he diabetic? Bcoz my father and grandparents are diabetic. I'm not. Please help me.

If your son is otherwise fine, Urine surrounded by ants is no indication that someone is diabetic , this is quite a common feature, but because diabetes runs in families so whenever you visit your paediatrician next do discuss your family history with him so that he/she can keep a watch.

Trust this finds u in best of health.

I am a mother of 2 kids. daughter age 6 and son 22 months. my concern is my son. its been a couple of months now, he blabbers alot. there are a few words i can understand but most of the time he blabbers or talks baby talk to himself or to us. he can say mamma, dadda, come, more (if he wants more to eat) numnum for food, the word no, his sister's name very recently. he loves to sing rhymes. but he cant prenounce the words perfectly but say he is 4 out of 10. the melody is perfect. it was all very adorable but sometimes its very worrying to hear him blabber. i wonder if it is normal. i am quite anxious to know cause i did not experience this with my daughter. infact she started talking really well by this time. please advise. Thanks for reading.

Hi Natalia,

No 2 kids are same so u cannot compare him with your daughter, From what you have written, doesn’t looks like there is a problem, some kids start speaking late, so if his understanding of things and hearing is all right,don’t worry, just continue talking to him, reading to him and otherwise stimulating him and just relax and enjoy your babies!
