What are the blood types are available?. Which blood group is very rare. for marriage blood group match is necessary?.

A , B , AB and O with both +ve and -ve for all the four groups.

AB -ve is the rarest one.

And ive heard both the boy s and girls blood group should be the same.. i mean both +ve or both -ve .. Then it is safe... but now there will be a solution for everything in the medical field.. So i dont think tat should be a problem these days.

As Smitha said , four Pheno types of blood is there ( A, B , AB , O ) & RH Factor + / - making the total 8 groups of blood . In India A+ , B+ , O+ are major group (more than 20 % each ) , leaving AB + less than 7 %. The rare is certainly not with Rh + , for with RH - the groups share among them totally 4 % of our population , the rarest being AB - , with a record of 0.2 % among us .....
