I have the red ants all over my home.... I could see them enter a small hole they've made at the joints of the window-frame and the wall ! I tried this ant chalk but no effect. Since it's on the side-ways, I am unable to put the powder into the hole (it's so small for only the ants to enter!).

How do I get rid of them? They are bite opening all the plastic covers, entering all the storage boxes in the kitchen :(

This is a common problem in most of our houses.. I just wipe the kitchen counter and all the edges with a cloth dipped in some disinfectant... twice a day as soon as all the cooking work is over.. in moring and at night... This has stopped the ants entering my kitchen counter and on the cooked food.. If this is troubling u a lot, then its better u empty the kitchen totally and spray ur kitchen corners and the holes with a strong medicine which u get in the nurseries.. keep it over night.

You could try the age old method of sprinkling some turmeric powder all around the hole. The ants menace will come down or atleast be better.

The best thing that has worked for me for years is the boric powder magic.

Take equal quantities of maida and boric powder. (Boric powder can be bought in any medical store). Add 2 to 3 table spoons of sugar. Mix them with milk to form dough....( Like chappati dough)

Now line or cover all the holes near the windows and doors of every room with this boric powder mixture.

You could also make tiny balls of this mixture and place them on top of shelves etc

Your house will be free of ants, lizards and cockroaches.

Repeat this process every 6 months or a year depending on the necessity.
