My baby is 8 months old she does not have milk properly, if you forcely give she will vomit and for 8 months she is only 6 Kg i am worried lot is their any idea to make her eat and become good health. but she is very active and every one say me she is very thin so please give me some idea
Have you started solid foods for your baby, after 6 months you can give solid foods also and most of the babies after 7 months they dont like milk because 6 months they contineously take milk so they hate milk smell ,so they get vomit
After 8 months old – you may wish to try offering soft cooked veggies in dices or tiny chunks and bits. Soft cooked veggies make for great beginner Baby Finger Foods.
So you will try to give the following foods for 6 to 9 months baby
Breastmilk or formula (breastmilk on demand; 24 - 32 oz. formula)
* Iron-fortified baby cereal, 1/2 cup a day
* Soft mashed, ripe or soft-cooked fruits or veggies
* Strained meats and combination dinners, tofu (if not sensitive
to soy) Ten to twelve months
* Breastmilk or formula (breastmilk on demand; 16 - 24 oz. formula)
* In addition to cereal, add toast, bagels, crackers, dry cereal,
whole grain bread, pasta, rice, cooked grains, muffins (if not
sensitive to wheat)
* Fresh, peeled ripe, soft-cooked fruits and veggies
* Add egg yolk, yogurt and soft-cooked beans"
My cosis daughter was also the same wen she was of that age.. my co sis used to feed her for about 2 hours continusouly showing this and tat.. but she just used to eat only half a bowl of her food.. and again at the end she would vomit.. But now she is actually overweight.. she is 6 yrs old now and weighs more than 25 kgs..
Anyways have you consulted a doctor for this? They say tat if the baby is active then it is not a problem.. but still it is better you take professional help....
Do check with a doctor for weight gain. But normally doctors suggest just food and nothing more if the kid is active. With 8 months, the baby should start having solid food. Try with idlis, boiled veggies (Like potatoes, carrot, sweet potatoes, beans) Soups of mixed veggies and dals. Ragi porridge, fruits - hard fruits like apple boil them and add honey in the initial stages, later you can start giving them raw ones. You can provide bananas. Extract juice of oranges and add honey to them. Ragi porridge is a strength gaining drink. But some kids catch cold when they have the porridge. So please check and give them in the mornings.
Dont force the kid every other hour. Feed them in moderation and when they are hungry they will really cry for food. Let them play so that they have more food. Your kids must be crawling all over now.. Keep attractive things at different places for her to pick up. Once she is exhausted she will be hungry and will take the food that you give.
My kid who is two years now vomits even now when she is fed more than what she could take in. So dont worry. they will pass through this phase.
All kids are like that… don’t worry… take her outside show her car cow etc and make her to eat… tell some stories… u should have lottttttttttttttttt of patience to feed the baby… it will take 1 or 2 hours to feed… Now my kid is 2.5 even now will running behind her to feed…
Its every moms worry, but where does the stools come from?, it shows they are eating enough
If your son is otherwise fine, Urine surrounded by ants is no indication that someone is diabetic , this is quite a common feature, but because diabetes runs in families so whenever you visit your paediatrician next do discuss your family history with him so that he/she can keep a watch.
Hi Natalia,
No 2 kids are same so u cannot compare him with your daughter, From what you have written, doesn’t looks like there is a problem, some kids start speaking late, so if his understanding of things and hearing is all right, don’t worry, just continue talking to him, reading to him and otherwise stimulating him and just relax and enjoy your babies!
