Hi moms

My daughter is studying in I std. She is in her second level of Abacus class.

I Just want to know, whether Abacus will affect her regular mathematics, or is it a different track of learning?

I get different opinions, like some say its good, and some say that after some levels really we have to discontinue something like that.

So pls help me in this.

Abacus has more advantages. As I'm also teacher for abacus so my advice is pls ask your daughter to continue it and complete all the levels. Our Indian children have very high thinking ability so pls don't get misguided. In Abacus they teach addition, subtraction , multiplication and division. Nothing more than this. Through abacus the childs imagination skills and the left brain and the right part of the brain gets activated as they use both their hands for solving.

hi, personally i hv no clue ..but one of my best friends son got very mixed wth the method the school was teaching and abacus......he had to quit. i dont thnk u shud confuse yr child too much.
