Dear Friends:

Do you guys have any comparision for the following schools? I thinking of putting my kid into one of this.

1.Bharathi Vidyalaya (Medavakkam - Perumbakkam),

2.St. Johns Besent Nagar

3. National Public School (Avvai Shanmugam).

As far as fees goes, NPS is at the higher end, BVSSS and StJohns are like 20 K a year.

But, what I would like to know is about academics and extra curricular activities and other standards..

I enquired with one of the child's father (St Johns school) about the school, his comment was something like do not choose St Johns becuase of "No proper Teacher for the class". His 2 kids (9th std and 2 std) are studying in the school and for the 9th standard class, he mentioned the problem above.

To me, BVSSS school staff seem to be very friendly and adjustable , but, since I;m being a US returned, the school atmosphere does  not look like a convent (hi fi) school.

Hence, I seek your expert advice in choosing the right school.

Answers from Natural childbirth and lactation consultant,Pediatrician- Dr.Shacchee Khare Baweja

My son of age 5 's urine is always surrounded by ants. Is he diabetic? Bcoz my father and grandparents are diabetic. I'm not. Please help me.

If your son is otherwise fine, Urine surrounded by ants is no indication that someone is diabetic , this is quite a common feature, but because diabetes runs in families so whenever you visit your paediatrician next do discuss your family history with him so that he/she  can keep a watch.
