Hi everyone!
I've created this forum to discuss and share ideas on hosting the best parties for our kids. I am a mother first and a professional party planner next and when it comes to creating parties for my kids , I go all out and think of the most fun and imaginative ways of doing it for them.So my objective here , is to be absolutely non commercial and post ideas and encourage discussion among other mothers as to how to make birthday parties easy , stress free and at the same time , exciting for our kids .To set the ball rolling , here are a couple of thoughts on the kind of games enjoyed by 3- 8 year olds:
1.Treasure Hunt - Mother and child games ( esp when the mom has to do silly things like "Honk " like a car , "Save her balloon " etc - games that require a lot of running (so open space is a great addition to any party space
2. More focus on fun and less focus on the food would be a good way to approach the party planning excercise . Even if we don't hire bouncies for the kids , if we set up a play tent with a lot of toys inside , kids would love to root through them . Also , songs , stories and puppets are the forgotten ways of creating a great party ...which with a bit of effort any mom / cousin /sister could do to really entertain the kids and keep them engaged.
