Essentials

[ ] Arrange for utilities for Gas/Electric and reconnection at new location.

[ ] Give address change to post office, charge accounts, credit cards, subscriptions (notice requires several weeks), friends and relatives.

[ ] Ask doctor and dentist for referrals;

[ ] At the bank: Transfer funds, update change of address

[ ] Notify your insurance company of new location for coverage: life, health, fire and auto.

[ ] Transfer needed prescriptions (medical).

Preparing Food

[ ] Knives

[ ] Kitchen scissors

[ ] Set of mixing bowls (stainless steel, glass, or ceramic)

[ ] Set of plastic or metal measuring cups and spoons

[ ] Liquid measuring cup

[ ] Bottle/Can opener

[ ] Wire strainer or plastic colander (for sifting flour or draining. Ex. pasta)

[ ] Cheese/Vegetable Grater
