Mrs.Parvathy Viswanath is an expert in the field of Special Education. She is a psychologist and a special educator with 22 years of experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome and learning difficulties.

She completed her B.Sc in 1972 with Hons and took up the Special Education course in 1986. The subjects of study included : Mental Retardation, Child Care, Child Psychology, Speech Therapy, Physio and Occupation Therapy, and Yoga.SSS

She is a specialist in Early Intervention and train babies right from birth.

She founded and runs the school AIKYA for the special need children since 1990. She has founded schools in other districts as well. She acts as the advisor, consultant and co-ordinator in many other schools and for many special programs for mentally – challenged children.

She has attended many national level seminars and have presented papers related to her expertise.

She is a member in many organizations as in she is a Board Member at Welfare Board for the Disabled, Government of Tamil Nadu, the Vice President at All India Confederation of Organizations for Mental Disability to name a few.

Mrs.Parvathy, a mother of 2 boys and has won many awards like Woman of the Year 2000’ from American Biographical Institute, 2001 Honoree, International WHO’S WHO of Professional and Business Women etc.
