Navigation : To help your child understand the art of navigation we will introduce to him the topographic map. This map tells you where things are and how to get to them, whether you're hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, or just interested in the world around you. They also describe the shape of the land. Our fellow partners are professionals in night navigation, the excitement and thrill of direction finding in the night is as adventurous as the dramatic darkness of the night itself and with all safety measures in place.
Astronomy : Most people take at least a passing interest in astronomy, Children are fascinated by it. 'Sky Watching' is one of the most interesting, enjoyable and thrilling of experiences. If we witness the sky on a dark, clear night we can see billions of stars. Our team, who have been trained in the field of astronomy, will provide your child the relevant information needed for better understanding of the stars that we see.
Basic first aid : First aid is the immediate help given to somebody who has been injured, or who suddenly becomes ill, before medical help is available. First aid is of two types - one where minor injuries can be dealt with and the other to provide basic care to a seriously injured individual before medical help can be obtained. Your child will receive training to help him/her deal with such situations so as to keep the injured or ill person alive; to stop the condition worsening; and to promote the recovery of the patient.
Our Daily Events : Cooking : All the children who become part of this camp will get turns to plan the menu for the day, buy the ingredients necessary and also assist our chef to cook it for his/her friends. How to plan before we cook? What are those ingredients that are need to be procured and then how to prepare it will be explained and taught by our facilitators and our chef.
House Keeping : Did you know that family housework can be fun? Yes this will be the most important program to help your child be independent. We have designed it such that your child actually lands up learning and loving to clean up and doing tasks around your home! Dusting, folding washing and drying etc will be presented by our facilitators.
Gardening : Nature is very important for our survival. Our children must become aware of it and in this camp your child will be guided and shown how to take care of plants-planting a sapling, watering it and nurturing it. We also grow organic vegetables, fruits, herbs, or leaf vegetables at PDV which will be shown to your child.
